3 flights, 1 train, 3 times asking for directions in broken Spanish and 31 hours later, I arrived at my first destination – Barcelona!

Any reservations I had about travelling solo were quickly subsided upon seeing Magic Mike on the in-flight entertainment menu! Those abs and dance moves would put any girl at ease 😉

The things I have come to appreciate most (and crave) after what seemed like a very long bunch of consecutive flights are:

– chocolate (however this is not out of the ordinary for me)
– mochas (instant airline coffee just doesn’t do it)
– shower
– bed (even the half-Asian in me can’t get away with sleeping upright for that long)
– and of course, my babe (or maybe I’m just confusing that due to the aforementioned abs)

It is great to finally check in, especially as I had walked about 20 mins with all of my luggage in the wrong direction! I’m going to enjoy the rest of my day here by relaxing and preparing for my train ride to Valencia (and further Spanish directions). And possibly re-think my travelling outfit considering the view from the plane flying into Barcelona… (Yes, that is a pic of snow covered peaks!) Here’s hoping Valencia will be warmer than Barcelona!
