Coming from Australia, living in Spain was so cheap! Whilst we had saved a lot to make the most of our year in Spain, we were able to enjoy our life there due to the fact that living expenses were relatively low. For those of you about to take the plunge, I’ve collected average costs on living in a few different cities of Spain. Some of these figures were given to me by friends who are living in those cities, and others were taken from Numbeo.
When we found out last year that we were moving to Spain in the Auxiliares program, we jumped in the air, Anchorman style, with elation. There is a lot of information out there, and sometimes it is a little overwhelming. Deciding where to go, what to see, and what to do in a city can be daunting, especially if you have limited time. It is also subjective to what type of traveller you are. Are you the adventurous type or one who prefers to soak up arts and culture? Paros may not be as famous as its Greek Island counterparts such as Mykonos or Santorini, but it is by no means less beautiful. We spent a glorious few days soaking up the gorgeous vibes of the idyllic “White Island” (nicknamed for all the amount of marble quarried there). Seeing as though we believe sharing is caring, here is a small collection of photos we took during our blissful time on the stunning Greek Island of Paros.
