How do you make sure you get the most out of your holiday? Go tailor-made. If you want a stress free and action-packed break, it really makes sense to consult travel experts like those at Flight Centre to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for.

Having worked previously for Flight Centre, I believe having an expert (with access to many deals and a knowledge-base that isn’t always available to the public) plan your trip is valuable. In fact, I still have friends and family ask me to help plan their trips, as my passion for planning holidays and the knowledge I gained working as a travel consultant is priceless. Organising things like flight connections, hub cities, stopovers, transfers and car hire can be pretty overwhelming to the uninitiated, especially those who are busy in their day-to-day lives that don’t have the time to research which accommodation option is better, or how to get from destination A to B.  If you are going to spend that much money to go on a holiday, the last thing you want is to waste time and energy in organising and stressing about the minute details.

Ask the Experts

It goes without saying that Australia is absolutely huge, and trying to pack the most into a holiday here can be a challenge if you only have a couple of weeks. To put it in perspective, Australia is close to the size of Europe, or slightly smaller than the US contiguous 48 states. I may be biased, but it’s also the most beautiful country, with natural beauty ranging from the world’s best beaches, to rainforests, cities and deserts. I mean, have you seen the Tourism Australia ads? If the visuals aren’t tempting enough to visit, surely Chris Hemsworth’s sultry voice is. Naturally, you’ll want to spend as little time in transition from place to place as possible. That’s where the travel experts come in.

Things Not to Miss in Australia

Great Ocean Road
Between the ever popular and vibrant cities of Melbourne and Adelaide lies the Great Ocean Road. See unique landscapes, beautiful views, charming cities and exciting wildlife along the coastline. You might be lucky to see the elusive koala in the wild, or find the perfect beach to relax on. It is certainly one of the most visually stunning places we’ve seen. Watching the sun set at the 12 Apostles is a must!

Tasmania
Home to truly unique wildlife, Tasmania is a wonderland of weird and wonderful nature. It doesn’t only boast having fascinating creatures and landscapes, but it also has rich and lively cultural and historical aspects to explore. Not only that, but if you are a fan of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), you might be lucky enough to see the ‘down under’ version – the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) throughout the year here. This is something still on my bucket list!

Northern Territory
The home of world famous rock, Uluru, this is a place you really cannot miss. The landscape is unlike any you’ll ever have seen before; almost Mars-like, the red rocks will really capture your imagination.

The Great Barrier Reef

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, The Great Barrier Reef is a destination high on many travellers’ bucket lists, including mine! Pristine islands with white sand and clear water, colourful reefs, nearby rainforests and island options for all types of travellers, there is plenty to love about far North Queensland.
